The Administration Department provides quality support services in the most efficient and cost effective manner. While our focus is to provide the best customer service as well as timely and accurate financial information, we take great pride in our city's values of Teamwork, Integrity and Excellence. 

The department oversees the following functions:


The Public Works staff is dedicated to providing customer-friendly service while maintaining the city's public infrastructure. We proudly provide many services such as engineering, water, sewer, stormwater, solid waste (garbage), recycling and street maintenance. We manage the stormwater pollution education program and the water conservation program. 


The Public Works Department executes the following city operations:

The members of the Colfax Police Department are committed to serving the citizens of our city with professionalism and integrity. In doing our officers perform their duty to enforce the law and maintain order while affording dignity and respect to every individual.


Colfax Fire Department employs three full time firefighters. These positions allow the station to be staffed 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The job of the full time staff is vast. Knowledge of fire suppression, fire alarm systems, fire codes, public education, and emergency medical response are necessities.
